Amazing Books

Hello Sunshine!

Every time I get interested in something I always find myself looking for books on the topic. I have always been a little bit of a nerd that way, though I don’t think I ever actually read my text books in school. Instead I found something interested and searched until I found books that filled me with all the information I needed. Here are a few of the books I have been reading lately. This list is always expanding so be sure to check it every now and then. Also comment below with your favorite books! Share the wealth of information with others!

Side note! None of these authors asked me to share their books. This is simply just a list of books that I read and loved and think you will also enjoy. Each title is linked to amazon to buy it if you so please. I also recommend looking at Barnes and Noble because some of these may be cheaper and you can get them right away!

You Are A Badass – Jen Sincero

The was one of the first books I picked up in an attempt to change the way that I live my life. It opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking and a burning curiosity for more knowledge on the topic. This book is filled with amazing perspectives on life and what you can do to live the life you have always wanted. This book has amazing quotes that will stick in your mind and keep you going on to the next stages of your happiness.

You Are A Badass At Making Money – Jen Sincero

I started to read this book because my relationship with money was clearly poor. There is a huge stigma when it comes to money and that stigma really affected my ability to make any. This book covers all the bases when it comes to making money and allowing it into your life. This is not just a book for someone wanted to create a business, it is a book we can all use to help fund the lives we want.

Eat With Intention – Cassandra Bodzak

Not too long ago I got a chance to go to a workshop by Cassandra to teach us how to eat with intention. That workshop was so eye opening. She teaches the connection between food and the mind. Each recipe in this book have a mantra or meditation to go along with it. She teaches you how to be aware of what you are eating and how the process can really impact your body and mind. The connection between the food and your mental state is really fascinating. In addition the recipes in this book are to die for! This is a must have for your kitchen. 

Plant Strong – Rip Esselstyn

Last summer I started getting a lot of random vegan You-tubers come up on my recommended list. I found myself watching more and more every day until I needed to know even more. This was the first book that I found on a vegan/plant based diet. I am so glad that this was the first book that I read. This goes over all the details as to why a plant based diet can be great for your health and happiness. Rip does an amazing job of giving you the facts rather than simply ethical reasons. I have always been more of a statistics and facts person and this book does at amazing job of showing them. It also has a number of amazing recipes to try that make the transition even easier. If you want to live a healthy life, read this book!

Main Street Vegan – Victoria Moran

This book is another great perspective on the vegan diet. There are many recipes in this book that sound amazing and she gives all the reasons as to why this lifestyle is an amazing one. This book does have an ethical section to it, which is good information to know. I am all for ethical reasons as well as factual reasons. I recommend this book to anyone interested in living a more conscious lifestyle.

The Plant-Powered Diet – Sharon Palmer

This book is great for everyone. Sharon does not tell you to only eat a plant based diet. This book simply explains the benefits of eating predominantly plant based and how you can add it in to your current lifestyle. She explains that her husband is plant based but also eats meat and the different ways that people can eat and still gain benefits from eating plants.  She also gives you a guide to changing your diet if you decide that is something you wish to do. This is a really great book for anyone looking to eat healthier with any diet.

I Am: The Power of Discovering Who You Really Are – Howard Falco

I Am is the book I am currently reading. So far Howard is showing me how to figure out who I am and the life I want to live. It is really amazing so far and I do recommend reading it if you are feeling a little lost in life. I actually picked this book up because I have been battling some mental health problems. This book has helped me change my perspective and get motivated to have a healthy mind once again. When I finish this book I will update!
